Materials

Using the fabricated parts of metals or alloys as an anode, an oxide film is formed on its surface by electrolysis. The metal oxide film changes the surface state and properties, such as surface coloring, improving corrosion resistance, enhancing wear resistance and hardness, protecting the metal surface, etc. For example, in aluminum anodizing, aluminum and its alloy are placed in the corresponding electrolyte (such as sulfuric acid, chromic acid, oxalic acid, etc.) as an anode and electrolyzed under specific conditions and applied current. The anode oxidizes the aluminum or its alloy, forming a thin layer of aluminum oxide on the surface, with a thickness of 5 to 30 microns, and a hard anodized film of 25 to 150 microns. After the anodic oxidation of aluminum or its alloys, improve its hardness and wear resistance, up to 250 ~ 500 kg / mm2, good heat resistance, hard anodic oxide film melting point up to 2320K, excellent insulation, breakdown voltage up to 2000V, enhanced corrosion resistance, in ω = 0.03 NaCl salt spray after several thousand hours without corrosion.
